How Westside Pets Began
Westside Pets started in 2011 when Lisa Smith combined her lifelong love of cats with years spent as a veterinary technician.
What began as general pet sitting gradually shifted toward feline-only care, as Lisa saw how much cats benefit when someone truly understands their body language, stress, and daily routines.
Rooted In Local Cat Care
Since 2011, we have supported local families through kitten adoptions, senior care, and everything in between.
Lisa's work with Woods Humane Society and the Cal Poly Cat Program reflects our belief that community education, rescue partnerships, and behavior-informed care all belong together for the sake of cats.
Guided By Gentle, Fear Free Values
Our care is shaped by Fear Free training, IAABC involvement, and more than 20 years in animal care.
We focus on low-stress handling, choice, and respect for each cat's personality, then pair that with clear, judgement-free support for their humans.
Loving your cat well begins with understanding how they experience their world.
